Franchising in Argentina and Brazil: What should businesspeople know?

The Federative Republic of Brazil has a new law regulating franchises. Its provisions, like those of the Argentine legislation, are of essential knowledge for businesspeople operating in the franchise business within the Mercosur.

On this subject, Mario E. Castro Sammartino and Dr. Osvaldo J. Marzoratti have published, in the August 22, 2022 issue of La Ley magazine, a paper in which they analyze the provisions of the Brazilian law and compare them with the Argentine Civil and Commercial Code.
